Biography: Saif Ali Khan belongs to the royal family of Nawabs and is the son of successful cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and yesteryear actress Sharmila Tagore. Growing up the actor studiend in England at the Winchester College.Originally the star was expectd to make his debut in Bekhudi opposite Kajol but the film didn't materialise for him. As a result he made his film debut in Parampara in 1992 which failed miserably.

However, success finally came his way two years later when he acted in Main Khiladi Tu Anari with Akshay Kumar in 1994.

But real fame and fortune came Khan's way after the release of Farhan Akhtar’s 2001 hit, Dil Chahta Hain, where his character of Sameer drew him a lot of praise.
