Biography:
Aarti shot to fame when she won the coveted Miss India title in 2000. She comes from a Sindhi family that has no Bollywood connections at all. She has appeared in videos for Adnan Sami’s album Tera Chehra and Sukhwinder Singh’s Nasha hi Nasha. Aarti usually does item songs and her most recent one was ‘Unke nashe mein’ in Shootout at Lokhandwala. In Dhoom Dadakka she plays the lead role, something which she has never done before as her films are multi-starrers. She was recently in the news because her titular role in Anamika was chopped as the director, Ananth Mahadevan, wanted to add a mystery element to her character. Her acting is not mention worthy. Barring Partner, Shootout, Shaadi No.1 and Awara Paagal Deewana, her films have tanked at the box office!
